A photo of boys jumping into the Ganges River won the Grand Prix at the 2020 iPhone Photography Awards, which features iPhone photographers from all over the world.
The author of the winning photo, street photographer Dimpi Bhalotia from Great Britain, became the photographer of the year according to the competition.
The first three places in the competition were awarded to amateur photographer Artem Baryshau from Belarus for a striped wall photo, Geli Zhao from China for a photo with an incredible light and shadow pattern, and Saif Hussein from Iraq for a portrait of an old man. All pictures are filled with deep symbolic content.
Also, the winners were announced in 18 categories of the competition. These are photographers from around the world, including Australia, Bahrain, Belarus, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Iraq, Israel, Japan, the Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) was founded in 2007. Over the 13 years of its existence, the competition has been attended by photographers from over 140 countries. The winners are selected by a professional jury in several stages.
