Interactive Brokers has stopped working with Russian partners

The American broker Interactive Brokers demanded from the Russian partners to close accounts in the company, Free News writes with reference to a source in the financial market.

The publication notes that the information was confirmed in three brokerage companies.

The press service of the Russian investment company “Aton,” in turn, also informed about the termination of cooperation with Interactive Brokers. The agency’s interlocutor explained that the broker began to restrict work with Russia and some other countries after the fine of the American regulator.

Vladimir Tsybenko, head of the Investment Consulting Department of Finam Group, said that Russian companies were ready for the problems associated with the foreign financial giant. According to him, the first time Interactive Brokers asked its clients to close accounts without explanation was five years ago.
