Instagram officially allowed uploading photos and videos from computer

Facebook has made Instagram the desktop! Almost. You don’t need any gimmicks like developer mode via Safari. You can simply upload content directly to your account.

A new plus icon has appeared at the top right. By clicking on it, a window will appear for uploading photos and videos.

You can upload multiple pieces of content at once, and you can also choose an aspect ratio.
You cannot change the orientation of a photo – 4: 5, for example, is only available in vertical view.

After loading, the filter selection window appears. And a standard unpretentious editor. If you tag someone in the caption to a photo, then you will have access to auto-selection of the one you want to mention. You can also add alt text to selected photos and disable post comments.

Click “Share” – and the photo is loaded. But you cannot download stories. At least for now.
