Insider: Google Pay and Samsung Pay to Introduce Cryptocurrency Payments

Electronic payment systems Samsung Pay and Google Pay, according to the source, are going to add tools for processing cryptocurrency payments.

The BitPay Card will be added to Samsung Pay and Google Pay, according to BitPay, the world’s largest provider of bitcoin payment services.

Users will be able to add their BitPay card to the Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay apps and use it to pay for purchases. The service automatically converts supported cryptocurrencies. Owners will have access to: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, USDC, GUSD, PAX and BUSD.

During the transaction, the cryptocurrency will be automatically converted to fiat currency at the current rate.

Apple Pay users can already add a BitPay card. Samsung Pay and Google Pay can presumably be linked to platforms as early as March 2021, but there is no official confirmation of this yet.
