The results of the autopsy showed that the death of the star of the series “Glee,” actress Naya Rivera, occurred as a result of an accident, reports Fox News channel concerning a press release of the medical examiner of Ventura County (California).
Earlier it was reported that the body of 33-year-old American actress and singer Naya Rivera, who disappeared last week while walking with her son, was found in Lake Piru in California. According to the police version, the drowning Rivera was able to save her son, but she could not save herself.
“The autopsy results are consistent with (death as a result) drowning, the state of the body corresponds to the period during which it was underwater. The autopsy did not reveal any traumatic injuries or disease processes,” the TV channel quotes the statement of the medical examiner.
It is noted that at the moment, there is no reason to believe that alcohol or drugs could have played a role in the death of the actress. However, samples will be sent for Toxicological testing.
Rivera became the third person to play a role in the series “Glee” and passed away at the age of about 30 years. In 2013, at the age of 31, Canadian actor Cory Monteith, who became famous thanks to this series, died, and in 2018, American actor Mark Salling, who was 35 years old at the time, starred in “Glee,” committed suicide.
