In the US, more than 69 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded

Over 69 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded over the past day in the United States, which was the highest increase in the number of infections since mid-August, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from Federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other open sources.

According to the University, over the past 24 hours, doctors in the United States have identified 69,156 new infection cases and another 883 deaths.

A day earlier, these figures were 63,610 and 820, respectively.

According to the university’s latest data, more than 8 million people have been infected with the coronavirus in the United States since the beginning of the epidemic, and 218,602 patients with COVID-19 have died. More than three million people have recovered.

Worldwide, according to the University, almost 39.4 million infections and 1.1 million deaths have been reported due to COVID-19, and more than 27.1 million people have recovered.
