In the US, more than 67 thousand cases of coronavirus were detected per day

More than 67 thousand new cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were detected per day in the United States, more than 1.2 thousand people died, according to Johns Hopkins University, which summarizes data from Federal and local authorities, as well as the media and other open sources.

According to the University, over the past day, 67,023 new cases of coronavirus infection and 1,259 deaths were registered in the United States.
A day earlier, these figures were 67,619 and 1,233, respectively.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, 4,562,170 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the United States, and more than 153,000 patients with confirmed COVID-19 have died. More than 1.4 million infected people have recovered.

Worldwide, according to the University, more than 17.6 million people were infected and more than 679 thousand deaths were registered. The number of people who recovered exceeded 10.3 million.
