In the US, a state of emergency is declared

The United States has declared a regional emergency after the suspension of the work of the pipeline company Colonial Pipeline, Free News reports.

The emergency was introduced by the US Department of Transportation. A regional emergency has been declared in New York, Virginia, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, and several other southern and eastern states.

It is reported that there was an unexpected shutdown of the Colonial pipeline system due to network problems. In turn, this affected the supply of gasoline and various types of fuel.

Moreover, the company itself stated that on May 7 it was subjected to a cyber-attack.

It is estimated that the elimination of the consequences of the accident may take several days.
