Another police officer in the United States, who witnessed riots on the Capitol grounds in January, committed suicide, CNN correspondent Marshall Cohen said on his Twitter account, citing the central police Department of the District of Columbia.

Earlier, the Washington Post newspaper, citing the head of the Washington police, Robert Contee, reported that two policemen committed suicide after the events of January 6.

“Unfortunately, another third police officer, who witnessed the riots in the Capitol on January 6, committed suicide. The Central Police Department of the District of Columbia confirmed the death of police officer Gunther Hashida,” the correspondent said in a statement.
