In the Pacific Ocean, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred in the Pacific Ocean south of the Australian state of Tasmania, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake was recorded at 05.19 UTC. The epicenter of the quake was located 1,864 kilometers south of the city of Hobart. The hearth lay at a depth of 10 kilometers.
