In the German city of Halle unknown opened fire on people

Unknown persons opened fire in the German city of Halle, local police said.

At least two people were killed in the attack.

According to Bild, the shooting occurred near the synagogue, the attackers also threw a grenade at the Jewish cemetery.

Police are urging residents to stay home, the alleged perpetrators fled in a car.

The attack occurred on the day Jews celebrate Yom Kippur — the most important holiday in Judaism. In 2019, it is celebrated from the evening of October 8 to the evening of October 9.
