In Thailand, a soldier opened fire on passers-by near a shopping center

A Thai army soldier opened fire on passers-by near a shopping center in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima in the Central part of the country.

Because of his actions, at least 12 people were killed. Before opening fire in the city, the soldier killed the commander and two other people in his unit.

During the shooting, the attacker spent about 20 minutes broadcasting his actions on Facebook; after that, his page was blocked.

Reinforced police and military detachments arrived at the scene. While it was not possible to catch the attacker, he barricaded himself in the basement of the shopping center. Police sources say he may be holding hostages.
