In South Korea, they told about the first death after vaccination

In South Korea, they told about the first death after vaccination with the drug of the company AstraZeneca. This is reported by the Yonhap news agency.

The deceased was about 30 years old; he died of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome on June 16. Severe side effects in the form of nausea and headache appeared 9 days after vaccination — the man was vaccinated on May 27.

This is the first post-vaccination death reported by the South Korean government. The AstraZeneca vaccine has been available since April, but only for people over 30: this is due to concerns about severe side effects.

The agency recalls that South Korean health authorities have investigated 224 deaths that may be related to vaccination against COVID-19. In 210 cases, it was found that the vaccination did not lead to the death of the patient, but other cases are still being investigated. So far, vaccines from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Janssen are available in South Korea.
