In Saudi Arabia will host the court in the case of Khashoggi – five prosecutors asking for the death penalty

The Prosecutor General’s office of Saudi Arabia announced the holding of the first court hearing in the case of the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. On Thursday, Al Arabiya TV channel reported about it with reference to the statement of the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom.

It notes that the first hearings will be held in the criminal court in Riyadh. It is specified that “at the first meeting 11 people accused of participation in murder of the journalist” will appear before court.

The Prosecutor’s office of Saudi Arabia, according to the document, demanded the death penalty for five accused in this case.
It is also reported that “a request was sent to the Turkish judicial authorities with a request to transfer the evidence they have in this case, but has not yet received a response”.

The investigation into some individuals involved in the murder of journalists is ongoing, the Saudi Prosecutor’s office announced.
