In San Diego, a car ran over pedestrians

At least three people were killed, and several others were injured due to a car hitting pedestrians in the American city of San Diego, the ABC TV channel reports, citing police.

It is noted that the car left on the pedestrian zone under the bridge, where there were several tents. Presumably, homeless people could live there.

In total, at least nine people were hit by the car. Two are in critical condition.

The 71-year-old driver of the vehicle, who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, was detained. It is noted that he tried to help one of the victims during the arrival of police officers at the scene.
