In Richmond, police arrested 16 people during the riots

Police in Richmond (Virginia) in the United States detained 16 people following the riots on Monday night, said the chief of police Gerald Smith at a press conference on local TV channels.

“We must take action when we see violence beginning,” the police chief said.

According to him, some arson attacks were registered in the city, and the crowd smashed shop Windows.

When asked whether members of the leftist Antifa movement were among the rioters, Smith said yes.

“Yes, we believe that Antifa was present at the site yesterday,” Smith said.

“We will hold them accountable, regardless of what they did,” he concluded.
