In Minnesota, a robber who took hostages in a bank was detained

A robber who took hostages in a branch of a Wells Fargo bank in the US state of Minnesota has been detained, local radio station WCCO reports.

The confrontation between the criminal and law enforcement officers lasted almost eight hours.

The FBI was able to apprehend the suspect after all five hostages left the building.

According to the police of the city of St. Cloud, where the bank is located, all the hostages are safe, no one was injured.
