The number of cases of COVID-19 infection in Italy has exceeded 100,000 people. The Ministry of the health of the country reported.

As the head of the Italian civil defense service, Angelo Borrelli, noted, a record low number of new cases was registered over the past day. During the day, 1,648 new cases were detected in the country, while the last 13 days, the increase in the number of infected was not less than three thousand per day.

“The number of people who recovered increased by 1,590, reaching 14,620. This is a record since the beginning of the epidemic, ” Borrelli said.

Italy is the second-largest country in the world in terms of the number of CAVID-19 cases, with more than 153,000 cases in the US alone.

The number of cases in the world on the evening of March 30 exceeded 770 thousand people, according to data from the research center for systems science and engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (USA).
