The regions of Germany intend to return to the federal authorities at least 2.3 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine; they will be sent for export, Free News reports with reference to a Welt study.
According to the newspaper, due to the decline in demand for vaccinations, 14 of the 16 German federal states will return unused drugs at the beginning of next week.
First of all, they want to abandon the vaccines of manufacturers AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson. These doses will be sent to countries that need COVID-19 vaccines.
According to the German Ministry of Health, more than 45 million people are fully vaccinated in the country, which is about 54.4 percent of the population.
