In Germany, the investigation of the incident with a knife attack in Würzburg continues

BERLIN – Law enforcement agencies of Wurzburg found propaganda materials of an Islamist nature in a hostel for the homeless – it was there that a 24-year-old Somali was registered, who attacked passers-by with a knife the day before. This was reported on Saturday by the Bild newspaper.

On Friday, a man armed with a knife attacked bystanders, three people were killed, and five were injured. He stole the weapon of the crime in a supermarket.

The materials were found in a trash can, most likely the man threw them out before the attack, the article says.

Officially, nothing has been said about the motives yet. There was information that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment shortly before the incident, had problems with the law, but was not listed as an extremist. He has lived in Würzburg since 2015.

The attacker was arrested after the police shot him in the leg.
