In Germany, due to strikes of employees of subsidiary Lufthansa canceled several flights

A strike by flight staff at subsidiaries of German airline Lufthansa has led to the cancellation of dozens of flights at several German airports. Free News reported regarding Deutsche Welle.

Among the strikers are employees of SunExpress, Lufthansa CityLine, Eurowings and Germanwings. Hundreds of flights in Frankfurt am Main, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart, Berlin, and Hamburg are affected.

According to the Deputy Head of the Union Ufo Daniel Flor, the strike will be extended until midnight, October 21.

The German workers’ Union Ufo is organizing the strike, which is in a long-running tariff conflict with Lufthansa. The Union is demanding higher wages and better working conditions for airline employees.

In the background repeatedly held strikes of Lufthansa were dismissed Chairman of the Ufo, Nikolai Baublies. Lufthansa does not consider the Ufo strike is illegal.
