British Prime Minister Boris Johnson continues to lead the government’s actions and fight against the coronavirus, said business Minister Alok Sharma.
On Friday, Johnson said that he had contracted the coronavirus, was experiencing mild symptoms and had self-isolated. If Johnson is unable to lead the country, Foreign Minister Dominic Raab will head the Cabinet.
“The Prime Minister continues to lead the government’s actions to combat the coronavirus. The government is united on how to fight the virus. There are no gaps in the government structure,” the Minister said at a briefing on Saturday.
He urged people in Britain not to go out and go to work only if it is impossible to work at home.
