Deliveries of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Turkey began on July 12. On the eve of three cargo aircraft from Russia delivered to Ankara several tractors and a transport car from the complex S-400.
Earlier it was reported that Turkey explained to the United States its decision to purchase S-400 systems serious air and missile threats faced by Ankara. The Minister of defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar said on the phone to the acting head of the Pentagon, Mark Esper. According to Akar, the appearance of the S-400 in Turkey is not a preference, but a necessity.
