“I’ll keep building the wall.” Trump called” a waste of time” talks with Democrats

The US President Donald Trump said that negotiations with the US Democratic Party on the allocation of funds for the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico are a waste of time.

“I will continue to build this wall, it will be built,” he said in an interview with the New York Times. “I always got along with house speaker Nancy Pelosi, but now I don’t think I will. If she opposes the construction of the wall, then all negotiations become a waste of time, money and energy, because it [the wall] is extremely necessary,” the head of the White House said.

President Trump did not answer the question of whether he would declare a state of emergency on the border with Mexico to get funding for the construction of the wall. “Will I declare a state of emergency? You’ll see,” he said.

Earlier, the American leader wrote on Twitter that the signing of the temporary budget is not a concession to the Democrats, but only talks about his respect for civil servants who at the time of the budget crisis were sent on unpaid leave or worked without pay. Trump also said he could introduce a state of emergency on February 15 on the border with Mexico to allocate funds for the construction of the wall without the approval of Congress
