Former Real Madrid and Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas on Twitter announced his decision to end his professional football career at the age of 39.

Casillas’ decision to retire from football was reported back in the winter. In May 2019, he suffered a heart attack. Subsequently, Iker nominated for the presidency of the Spanish Football Federation but then withdrew her. According to the latest media reports, he will return to Real Madrid, where he will become an adviser to the president.
