Hungary refused the US extradition of Russians Lubishyns

Hungary refused to extradite to the United States of two citizens of Russia Vladimir Lubishyn and Vladimir Lubishyn Jr., RIA News reported. In Washington, they are suspected of illegal arms trade.

This decision was sharply criticized by the state Department spokesman Heather Nauert, who referred to the fact that Budapest violated the provisions of the extradition Treaty between the United States and Hungary and instead extradited the suspects to Russia.

“This decision does not correspond to the spirit of cooperation between the two countries, undermines the joint work of law enforcement agencies and” makes the US, Hungary and the whole world a less safe place, ” said Nauert.
