Huawei will abandon the American operating system

Huawei intends to completely abandon the EMUI shell for smartphones and tablets in favor of its own operating system. This is reported by the portal Gizchina with reference to Chinese insiders.

Now Huawei, which is under US sanctions pressure, uses the Android OS with an EMUI shell without support for Google services. The new HarmonyOS, which has been developed by the Chinese for the past few years, will become the basis for all new devices of the technology giant.

Indirectly, this information is confirmed by the fact that the official EMUI community was renamed on the Chinese social network Weibo. It is now called HarmonyOS. The official global launch is scheduled for June 2. Huawei, along with its own operating system, will also present some devices that will work on HarmonyOS. As promised in the company, their OS will be supported not only by smartphones but also by various smart gadgets.
