Huawei started selling refurbished smartphones

Apple has been selling refurbished gadgets for a long time to save money on purchase. Now Huawei has followed suit.

Chinese media reported that an area with refurbished smartphones has opened at Huawei Mall. These are practically new devices that have minor signs of use, but without disrupting their performance. It seems, as is the case with Apple, these are used products that, for some reason, after purchase, were returned back.

Such gadgets undergo strict quality and functionality testing at Huawei factories, are equipped with new batteries and operate under the HarmonyOS 2 operating system (Hongmeng in China). They come with an official one-year warranty and customers can return the device within 7 days of purchase.

Now the range includes smartphones of the Huawei P30 and Mate 30 series, and prices range from 2,000 to 6,000 yuan (300-900 dollars). For example, for the Huawei P30 they ask for 2,799 yuan, which is about $ 430.
