The device appeared on the American website of the manufacturer. It can already be pre-ordered for $ 1299. For comparison, last year’s Xperia 1 II was $ 100 cheaper.
As a reminder, the Sony Xperia 1 III features an elongated 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with Victus Gorilla Glass. The panel has an aspect ratio of 21: 9, a frequency of 120 Hz and support for 10 bits. The novelty is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chip with a built-in 5G modem. The device is not afraid of water (thanks to the IP65 / 68 certification). The smartphone is powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports 30W charging.
Also, the Xperia 1 III has NFC, a side scanner, a headphone jack, stereo speakers, and advanced cameras: 8 MP front and 12 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP + 3D ToF Zeiss optics. Specialists from the Sony Alpha division participated in the development of the modules.
By the way, along with the Xperia 1 III, Sony also showed the compact Xperia 5 III in April, but when it will be released and how much it will cost is unknown.
