Honor intends to compete with Apple and reclaim its smartphone market share

The Honor brand recently unveiled its new flagships Honor Magic 3, Honor Magic 3 Pro and Honor Magic 3 Pro +, which marked its return to the premium segment of phones. As it turned out, the company has big plans – to remove Apple.

What are you planning
The company’s CEO Zhao Ming said at a press conference that Honor will aim to compete with Apple in the premium segment. Moreover, the brand intends to win back the smartphone market share from the Cupertinians. So far, we are talking only about the Chinese market, but we will not be surprised if in the future Honor will also aim at the global market.

And the prerequisites for this already exist: according to the CEO, the company managed to increase its market share in China from a historic low of 3% to 14.6% in just three months. This also allowed him to become one of the leading smartphone brands in his home market during this time.

By the way, the leader voiced these plans earlier: in July, he announced that Honor’s products would compete or even surpass Apple’s gadgets.

In addition, the brand aims to invest in the market and its research and development in order to better compete in the global market. In other words, the company also aims to focus on overseas markets outside of China.
