Hollywood will resume shooting on June 12

The authorities of California made this decision.

Filming of movies and TV projects can be resumed in California as early as June 12, the state authorities said.

According to a statement from the California Department of health, producers will need permission from local health authorities to start shooting again.

Filming around the world was suspended in mid-March to contain the spread of the pandemic.

Earlier this week, a working group made up of representatives from major Hollywood film studios, and unions suggested extensive testing for the coronavirus, daily checks for symptoms, and other precautionary measures to allow actors and crew members to return to work.
