Head of UFC: Nurmagomedov will hold the next fight in October in Abu Dhabi

The champion of the Ultimate fighting championship (UFC) in lightweight Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov will hold the next duel in October in Abu Dhabi, the head of UFC Dayna White told.

It is assumed that Nurmagomedov’s opponent will be American Justin Gatzhi, who, on May 9 in Jacksonville (USA), prematurely defeated compatriot Tony Ferguson and won the belt of the interim UFC lightweight champion.

“All the biggest fights and the toughest fights that we will have will be held here. Abu Dhabi is seen as the new fighting capital of the world. It used to be Las Vegas, now it’s not, “White was quoted as saying by The National.

When asked what big fights will take place in October, White said that Nurmagomedov’s match would be next.

Earlier, White said that the organization will not bother the Russian fighter jet and will give him time to recover from the loss of his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. The latter died on July 3 at the age of 58 from complications caused by a coronavirus.
