HMD Global Product Director Juho Sarvikas, who headed Nokia’s mobile division, announced his company’s departure.
Sarvikas wrote about his decision in social networks. Unfortunately, he did not tell why he left the position and what he plans to do next.
“After an amazing 15 years working with Nokia and HMD, I made a tough decision: it’s time to move on. I am so proud of what we have achieved together, and I know that the success of HMD and Nokia phones will continue,” the former head stressed.

Indeed, Juho has been associated with Nokia and HMD for 15 years. And last year, he was named vice president of HMD’s North America division. There he was responsible for expanding Nokia’s product line.
It is not yet clear if Sarvikas will attend the presentation on April 8 to present the new Nokia smartphones for the last time. Let us remind you that G10, X10, and X20 should debut on this day.
The media associate the leader’s departure with the crisis in the company. Over the past 3 years, Nokia has lost 3 billion euros, and over 2 years, the company had to lay off more than 11 thousand employees.
