Hamas called the condition of compliance with the truce

Hamas will observe the truce if Israel adheres to it, Taher Al-Nono, a media adviser to the head of the Hamas politburo, said in a statement to journalists.

Earlier, the Israeli Government announced that the Security Cabinet had unanimously accepted Egypt’s initiative for a bilateral ceasefire. “Egypt has informed us that an agreement has been reached on a mutual and simultaneous ceasefire in the Gaza Strip starting at 2 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021. The Palestinian resistance (Hamas) will abide by this agreement if the occupiers adhere to it,” Taher Al-Nono said.
