Hackers use online coronavirus distribution cards for hacking

Hackers use online coronavirus distribution cards to hack users. This is the conclusion reached by Reason Labs, a computer security agency.

Cybercriminals create fake online maps of the spread of coronavirus infection and develop services that differ from trusted resources in their URLs and individual interface elements. The agency notes that at the same time all sites show true information about the spread of coronavirus, but the AZORult Trojan is used in their code.

AZORult collects all logins and passwords, browser history, data on credit cards and cryptocurrency wallets from the user’s computer. Now AZORult attacks only personal computers running on the Windows operating system.

Previously, virologists created the official online map for the spread of coronavirus infection. Its important difference from other services is that it does not have viruses and trojans that could steal users’ personal data.
