Trump’s campaign headquarters said there were no leaks of confidential data.
Donald Trump’s campaign website was subjected to an apparent short-term attack on Tuesday night, but the headquarters reported that hackers failed to gain access to important data.
“Tonight, the content of the Trump campaign website was changed, and we are working with law enforcement to determine the source of the attack,” said Tim Murtaugh, Director of communications at the headquarters.
“Access to confidential data was not obtained because such data is not actually stored on this site. The site has been restored, ” Murtaugh added.
Screenshots taken before the site were restored show that the message “This site has been hijacked” was posted.
