Greece has built a wall on the border with Turkey because of the Afghans

Greece has completed the construction of a 40-kilometer wall on the border with Turkey. The erected structure will protect the country from migrants from Afghanistan, said the Minister for the Protection of Citizens Michalis Chrisochoidis.

He noted that the Afghan crisis is changing the geopolitical situation and creating opportunities for migration flows.

“We cannot passively wait for possible consequences. We support democratic human rights and freedoms, but we cannot allow the transformation of migration flows into tools that may arise,” the minister said.

According to Chrisochoidis, creating an integrated automated electronic surveillance system for the border has also been completed.
