Greece can reintroduce lockdown because of COVID-19 positive Tourists

Greece may reintroduce isolation in some regions, as the country is worried about new cases of coronavirus infection after resuming tourism in the country, Express said.

New evidence suggests that there are currently more active cases of COVED-19 in the country than at any other time during a pandemic.
Authorities warned that restrictive measures could be revised if the situation worsens, as tourists are one of the reasons for the sudden outbreak.

“From the very beginning, we knew that when we gradually open the borders, we will import new cases,” government spokesman Stelios Petsas said to local media.

According to him, Greece “is determined to protect the majority from the frivolous minority.”

Media reports that since July 1, more than 100 tourists who have been tested for coronavirus in Greece, received a positive result.
