The world watched with horror the violence used by the Belarusian authorities to suppress peaceful protests after the presidential election, British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said in a statement.
The UK stated that it does not recognize the results of the presidential election in Belarus.
— We urgently need the OSCE to conduct an independent investigation of the violations that made the elections dishonest, as well as the terrible repression that followed them. The UK will work with its international partners to impose sanctions on those responsible and hold the Belarusian authorities accountable,” Raab said.
Earlier, the EU stated that it considers the election results to be falsified and therefore does not recognize the results as they were presented to the CEC of Belarus.
