Google told when and which smartwatches will receive the new version of Wear OS

Two and a half months after the release of Wear OS 3.0, Google has revealed which smartwatch models will receive it.

According to Google, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular / LTE and TicWatch E3 will definitely receive the firmware. In addition, the update will be available for all new TicWatch models. In addition to this, the system will also be released for Fossil Group smartwatches. True, we are talking only about the upcoming new products, which will debut later this year. By the way, you can install the firmware at will.

Unfortunately, there is no need to wait for an update in the near future. Wear OS 3.0 is planned to be distributed to watches only in the middle and second half of 2022. That is, in a year.

Recall that Wear OS 3.0 was shown at the I / O conference in May, but it should debut in early August on the Galaxy Watch 4. By the way, Google is developing it together with Samsung. The software will boast a 30% faster app launch speed, improved energy efficiency, a new interface and the ability to download programs from the Play Store right from the watch.
