Google released Android 12 Beta 5

Google, following Android 12 Beta 4.1, has released the fifth and final beta version of the operating system. Next is the final release.

Initially, the American company planned only four beta versions of the software, but in the end, it was necessary to include the fifth assembly in the testing program and release an intermediate version of Beta 4.1. But on Android 12 Beta 5, the trials are over.

The update is available for all third-generation Google smartphones, including the recent Pixel 5a. To get the update, you need to register in the Android Beta program using this link.

The latest software version number is SPB5.210812.002. The update size may vary depending on the smartphone model. The changelog states that Android 12 Beta 5 brings some “latest fixes”. But users are already reporting some notable innovations. In particular, a redesigned calculator, a new shortcut on the lock screen for controlling smart home devices, geometric clock widgets and an updated search.
