Director Adam Wingard, who shot the blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong, revealed which of the monsters is stronger in an interview with Variety: the gorilla or the lizard.
Discussing the peculiarities of filming action scenes in the film with a journalist, Wingard examined the fighting skills of each of the characters.
“In our first major battle scene in the ocean, Kong is at a huge disadvantage. He doesn’t swim as well as Godzilla. He can’t hold his breath for long. Godzilla is a really great swimmer. Advantage because he is a stronger monster, “ commented the director.
Nevertheless, Adam Wingard admitted that he is more appealing to Kong.
“He’s more like us. I’ve always been a big fan of Godzilla, but I found myself falling in love with Kong in a way I didn’t expect. I was anxious about him, so I even rejected some episodes from the script that should have happened to him. Sorry for him, “– said the filmmaker.
The project became the fourth film about Godzilla in Hollywood. For the first time, a giant lizard and a monkey met on the screen in the fantastic Japanese action movie King Kong vs Godzilla in 1962.
