According to the analytical company Glassnode, the number of wallets with a balance of more than 1 BTC is constantly growing. Currently, these addresses store 95% of all bitcoins.
The number of wallets with a balance of more than 1 BTC was constantly growing, and the growth was quite stable, without sharp jerks. Currently, the number of addresses that store more than 1 BTC exceeds 80,000. In total, these wallets store $301 billion worth of bitcoins. For comparison, only $16 billion is stored on wallets with a balance of less than 1 BTC.
The decline in this indicator was recorded in early 2016, as well as in December 2017. At the moment, the number of Bitcoin addresses that store any volume of the first cryptocurrency is 32.95 million. Thus, the number of addresses with a balance of more than 1 BTC is only 0.47% of the total number of wallets.
In early November, Glassnode analysts reported that 97% of all Bitcoin addresses contain “profitable” BTC, as the first cryptocurrency price continues to grow in recent months.
