The German authorities do not intend to withdraw the “Nord Stream-2″ gas project, in which Russian Gazprom participates, from the new EU Directive on” blue fuel.” Handelsblatt journalists found out about this.
According to them, the application of the project operator, Nord Stream 2 AG, will be rejected by the German Federal Network Agency.
The “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline was built for European consumers, who were supposed to use the Baltic Sea for gas instead of transit through Ukraine. However, as it became known at the end of last year, Russia did not close Ukrainian transit.
Nord Stream 2 AG said that if the decision is made, the operator will challenge it in court.
