The Federal grid Agency of Germany (Bundesnetzagentur) will make a final decision on the application of Nord Stream 2, the operator of the construction of the “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline, to exempt the project from the requirements of the updated EU Gas Directive, by May 24. RNS representative of the German regulator Fite Wulf reported this.
“A decision on the exclusion request for Nord Stream 2 will be made no later than May 24, 2020. We will issue a press release when the decision is made,” Wolfe said.
Earlier, the German newspaper Handelsblatt reported that the Federal grid Agency of Germany plans to reject the application of Nord Stream 2 to exempt the “Nord stream-2” project from the rules of the updated EU Gas Directive.
