German Fund unveils new details of Navalny’s transportation

The Cinema for Peace Foundation, which organized the transportation of Alexey Navalny, said that the blogger’s examination by German doctors in Omsk showed “alarming results,” he had a temperature of 34.2 degrees.

The Foundation released a press release with new details about Navalny’s transportation.

“After a whole day of diplomatic efforts at all levels and the preparation of our medical report with alarming results and low temperature (of the body) of 34.2 degrees, we finally received at 22.00 local time the decision to transport the patient on Friday night,” the Foundation said in a press release.

Navalny was hospitalized on August 20 in Omsk after he became ill on a plane EN route from Tomsk to Moscow. According to the results of examinations, Omsk doctors called the main diagnosis of a metabolic disorder that caused a sharp drop in blood sugar. What caused it is still unclear, but no poisons were found in Navalny’s blood and urine, according to Omsk doctors.

Two days later, Navalny was airlifted to the Charite clinic in Berlin in a serious condition, where doctors had previously determined the diagnosis as poisoning with a substance from the group of cholinesterase inhibitors. The specific toxic substance, according to the statement, is not yet known.
