In Georgia, the presidential election results were approved, according to which Joe Biden was officially recognized as the winner in the state.
This is stated in a statement by the office of State Secretary Brad Raffensperger.
Later, ABC News reported that the official’s administration corrected this statement; since the vote results have not yet been approved, they will be certified later on Friday. This will officially mean that Biden gets the votes of 16 electors.
Earlier, Raffensperger said that the results of the recount of votes manually do not differ from the data of automatic processing.
Georgia is one of four states that can determine the outcome of an election. The Tampa headquarters sued the state election commissions to comply with the law on counting and storing mail-in ballots.
