59-year-old George Clooney rarely speaks in interviews about his personal life, but over the past month, he has been downright frequent with such revelations. The actor, speaking on the air of the CBS channel, where he spoke about his new film “The Midnight Sky”, spoke about his marriage to 42-year-old Amal and their three-year-old children Ella and Alexandra.
As Clooney admitted, with the advent of Amal, everything changed in his life.
There is no doubt that Amal’s presence in my life changed everything for me. For the first time in my life, everything that she did, and everything that touched her, was immeasurably more important than anything that touched me. And then we got these two silly guys. And it filled my life, it was something that I did not expect, – he admitted.
The actor, who married a human rights lawyer in 2014, said that initially he and Amal had no plans to formalize their relationship.
We never talked about marriage when we met. I asked her about it for no reason, and it took her a long time to say yes. I stayed on my knees for about 20 minutes until I finally said: “Look, I’m going to dislocate my hip, he recalled.
At first, George and Amal did not think about children either.
We never talked about having children, and then one day we just said, “What do you think about this?”
We went to the clinic, did an ultrasound. And we were told: “You will have a boy!” And I said: “Boy, great!” And they continued: “And you will have another child.” I was ready for one. I’m already old. And then suddenly there are two of them. It was hard for me to force myself not to speak, and I just stood there for about 10 minutes, looking at this piece of paper and thinking, “What? Two?” – said Clooney.
Now the actor says that he is glad that each other has twins.
It’s just incredible, he notes.
