Gates gave an alarming forecast for the situation with the COVID

Microsoft founder Bill Gates suggested in an interview with Politico that the situation with the coronavirus pandemic “may get worse than in the summer.”

“The number of infections is increasing, and with the onset of cold weather, people are more indoors, which increases the chances of transmission of the virus,” the billionaire said.

Gates added that while the US does not have a vaccine, only following simple rules can help fight the spread of COVID-19.

“Wearing a mask, refusing to attend mass events, maintaining social distance, washing hands,” he listed.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the world health organization, more than 38 million cases of coronavirus infection have been detected worldwide. More than a million patients died. The most difficult situation is observed in the United States, India, and Brazil.
