Since the 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, Gal Gadot has been associated with one of his characters – Wonder Woman.
She then reprised the role in two solo films and in 2017’s Justice League. However, before she was cast as the princess of the Amazons, Gadot was ready to quit acting. Justice League director Zach Snyder spoke about this the other day with Vanity Fair.
According to the director, Gal was going to leave the film business and return to life in Tel Aviv, ending with Hollywood. Then she walked in, and I thought, This is my Wonder Woman, Zach remembered.
Gadot herself confirmed Snyder’s words. She posted on Instagram a black and white photo posing for the director on that momentous day. According to the actress, the photo causes her strong nostalgia – then she still had no idea what awaited her in the future and would return home to shoot in a small project.
“I will always be grateful to Zach for choosing me and believing that I can embody Diana. I was on the verge of giving up acting, and then it happened, ” the actress said.
Viewers will be able to take another look at Gal in the image of Diana in the spring when the director’s cut “Justice League” will be released on HBO Max.
